wow…

i am one naughty girl…i didn’t write yesterday!!! i actually decided to take a break from all of this writing and just sit back and relax for one day.

well…what did i do yesterday?

i practiced piano (obviously)…i DIDN’T play tennis…i went to the library for two hours, studying mostly vocabulary and writing the essay…i had lunch with my piano teacher because, coincidentally, my mom was teaching her how to drive, and they passed the library on the way home, so they picked us up and my mom suggested that we take my piano teacher out to lunch…i went swimming…i did other extracurricular crud…i went to sleep at SEVEN IN THE EVENING. i was extremely tired during my second session of piano practicing yesterday, so i just plopped on the bed and watched the Z’s multiply.

what have i done TODAY???…i practiced piano for an hour (again, obviously)…i read a lot and copied down any vocabulary words i didn’t know…i studied SAT stuff…i had lunch…i practiced piano for another hour (for the third time, obviously)…i got my racket re-stringed at this place in Hartsdale…which leads up to now, where i am writing this really bad summer schedule for all of you human beings who aren’t going to camp.

my leg muscles have been sore ALL WEEKEND, because at the end of tournament training on friday, we did agility practice, and it was really tiring. the weird thing about this is, your muscles don’t get sore until you wake up the next morning and find out that you can’t get out of bed. it’s two days after friday and i still can’t walk down the stairs properly. my right leg feels like some internal bleeding is going on, but i doubt it. i don’t see any bruise or whatever.

again, “great summer”. oxymoron much?

a few cool things

hello ppl…

referring to the title above, *a few cool things* happened today.

first of all, TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF FINAL EXAMS!!! i am extremely happy because it’s basically the last day of school (except for tomorrow, which is around an hour which doesn’t really count as a school day) and therefore i have a lot more free time…well actually the oxymoron “great summer” will come into use…look around this site and you’ll find a page about that.

anyway. going back to final exams. today’s exam was for science. it was actually the difficulty of the social studies final exam that i took on monday; not too bad, not too good. the part where i had to put down some wild guesses was in the cell diagrams. (whoever is reading this, can you PLEASE tell me what mitochondria looks like?? also, if a cell’s outline is wavy, is it a plant or animal cell?) secondly, i forgot to bring in my textbook, so that means i get a 2-point penalty. AND, i was the only one in my final exam group that didn’t bring in the textbook. embarrassed much?

now moving on to TOURNAMENT TRAINING. so i actually found out the name of today’s instructor for my court. his name is dill. at first i thought it was spelled D-A-E-L, but i guess i was wrong. and when he told us his name, this girl on my court named maury (i think) was like, “oh, like dill pickles?” and dill didn’t get it (he’s puerto rican) and he was like “what?” and we started laughing and dill said “what? WHAT?” and later, someone who wasn’t on my court asked greg (the supervisor of the program) what dill’s name was, and he said “dill, as in dill pickles” and everyone started laughing and dill was all frustrated because he didn’t get it. and he was always going like “what does DILL have to do with PICKLES?”

okay, subject change. i just found out that if you take the “i” out of “with” you get “wth” which stands for “what the hell”. hahaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now going back. so there’s this new kid and he’s really short and he was placed on court one and me and this other kid were whispering to each other like “why is he there?” but he is SO good! well later we found out he was going into high school, and we were all “oh. ok then.” but we’re still really impressed because he’s better than a lot of people even though his size is giving him disadvantages.

that’s all. buh-bye.

great summer

the title of this post is an oxymoron because so far life isn’t really that great.

in other words, the only free time i’ve had today is NOW. and NOW. and NOW. (basically, the time it takes for me to write this blog.) and it’s already 10:07 in the evening. would you like to know why my life is so busy??? either look at the previous entries or enjoy this one.

today’s final was english. it really wasn’t that hard, except for the poetry analyses. i kind of had some problems in that area. but, i managed to finish the entire exam 30 minutes early, giving me an ample amount of time to read a really good book called “Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie” by David Lubar. speaking of english, the book i just mentioned is on the summer recommended reading list for 7th and 8th graders. so far i’ve read two books, and in a day or two i’ll be finished with three. it’s great news for me because the requirements are to read two to three books over the summer. but i really want to read more than just two or three books, because i want my literary experiences (ooh how sophisticated) to broaden a little bit.

BACK TO FINALS! so my english teacher walked in and he was looking around and he said, “Well, it’s quite surprising that only one person remembered to bring a book or something else to study.” and that was when all eyes turned to me. well, almost all eyes. there are some people – guys, F.Y.I. – who act as if they have attention deficit disorder and refuse to follow instructions. okay, so there wasn’t really any instructions at the time, but still, majority rules, and the majority of the class was looking at me. i just smiled nervously and returned to my book – which, again, is an AMAZING 375 PAGES OF YOUR LIFE!

and then…as always…i had tournament training.

today was a little warmer than yesterday, but since i had some frozen Gatorade in my water cooler (in this case it’s a “Gatorade cooler”), i didn’t have a problem. my endurance has actually significantly improved from last year. (did i tell you that already in the second entry? whatever…if i did, you heard it again now!) we also switched people around today, since we pretty much have an image of the skill level of each participant, so instead of being with this 10th grade girl named Maurie, a guy came this time and his name is josh. i don’t know if he goes to my town high school or not, but he doesn’t look familiar. everyone’s older than me, so who does, anyhow?

so anyhow (for the second time…haha), he’s actually really nice and while we were picking up the balls he was all “oh my GOD this is so tiring! how do you handle this?” and i replied with, “i don’t really know, actually.” yeah, i know, that was probably one of the stupidest replies in the history of the stupidest replies in the history of the world. but nobody noticed. *there are no stupid questions, just stupid people.* i am not a stupid person, obviously, if you know who i am, so i cannot ask a so-called “stupid question”.

anyhow (for the third time…hahahahahahaha…i’m done), towards the end of the three-hour time period we are always playing singles and then doubles. i was paired up with josh for singles. i won all the games, and i felt really bad for him because he was older than me and based on this loud conversation i had with someone else, he knows i’m on a different school campus, for different, YOUNGER people. but it was kind of intense because in the last game we had TEN deuces!!!!! i got really nervous when the deuces started repeating, and i could tell that he was really nervous at first as well. but soon we laughed it off and whenever another deuce came, we said “here comes deuce #5″ or “okay, deuce #9″. it was actually really funny for me, and i don’t know if it was funny for josh, but he didn’t seem depressed or anything. and when we met at the net to do that traditional good-match handshake, he said, “good match, you killed me, good job”, and i replied “oh yeah *laugh* thanks”. so yeah enough said about him…no offense, but…you know what i mean.

i just wasted over 15 minutes of my life writing my life story for you. (it is now 10:23 in the evening.)

Busy busy busy!!!!!

mondays…luckily today wasn’t a regular day. therefore, it’s an irregular day, in some aspects. here’s one sentence – yes, ONE SENTENCE – about what i did today.

Respectively, i woke up, had breakfast, studied for finals, got driven to school, had my social studies final exam, got out of school, practiced piano for an hour, had lunch, went to tennis tournament training for three hours, had a 20-fl-oz bottle of Gatorade in five minutes, had a piano lesson, went to California pizza kitchen, looked at the birds in Bird Jungle, completed extra reading comprehension work, reviewed quadratic equations, practiced piano for another hour, practiced violin, and wrote this blog.

the social studies final exam was wandering all over the place…the range of the difficulty was between lifting a pillow and running at 7 miles per hour for 24 hours. okay, so i’m exaggerating! but you know what i mean; after all it’s a final exam. the only thing that really shows my stupidity is when i almost forgot who the vice president was. OF COURSE, it’s dick cheney.

tennis tournament training was slanted a little more towards the 7-mph, 24-hour jog. well, i actually didn’t get tired, but i was just really hot (temperature-wise!!!); it felt like my face was on fire. i was placed onto court 2 (there are six courts; the lower your court number, the better you are). at first, i was really pleased, because i was a middle school student among several freshmen, sophomores, and whatever. but then i realized during the break that there was someone on court 5 that was so much better than me, in terms of serves, volleys, and just power in general. that’s what everyone else is better than me at, too. but heyyyyyy…i’m the youngest participant in the program (as far as i know, which is a lot!), and even when my friend jamie comes next week, her birthday is in may, and mine is half a month later. none of the coaches know my age, though, so they think i’m in high school and they assume that i’m at a lower skill level than everyone else.

now how is this day irregular? well…we get out of school two hours after we enter the school, so after around 10:30 we [should] have the whole entire day. the parenthetical “should” is very necessary because I DON’T HAVE THE ENTIRE DAY AT ALL!!! it’s the evening right now and STILL my mom is screaming at me to do my work. oh. damn. my mom is screaming at me to do my work. BUH-BYE

In an hour…

…i am going to be taking my social studies final exam!

i know, i should be studying right now. i probably made like 50 index cards just for the things i don’t know. but, for whatever reason there is to be doing this, i want to announce my hard work to the world. i mean, i should be getting some credit for studying an hour a day for around two weeks! however, there are still some areas in which i don’t really feel confident, so you know what? i’m going to stop typing right now and i’m going to start studying!!!!!! see now that i’ve typed this much, five minutes have already passed, so now i only have 55 minutes!!!!!!
